Long long time!!!

Sorry I haven't updated the blog in a month. It's been very busy, it's just that time of year and typing with one hand seems to take longer :) We're doing good but not really enjoying living in two separate states. Joey gets to come home on the weekends from Rock Springs and I get to go see him every week but it's still not the same as being together every night. Only two more weeks of this and I'll be moved up to Wyoming. I'm slowly getting better from my surgery. Having knee surgery was WAY easier then a shoulder. I'm just starting to not regret the surgery, for awhile there I would of rather lived with the pain of pre-surgery and been happy about it. The other day it snowed in Grand Junction (which hardly ever happens) well I went out to my car and hit some ice and with out thinking put my arms out to catch me and OUCH I hurt my shoulder. I'm hoping and praying that it's just sore and will get better by Monday but I'll keep ya updated. We went to the parade of light a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked at how many floats there were......81. It was huge!!! Here are some pics of the parade and my silly dog sitting like a person. The house next door if getting built so the dogs just sit in the office and stare at the workers all day long. Sometimes they'll come over to get fresh water for the tile from our hose (which is right by the window) and Sierra (the one with the purple collar) will crouch down under the window until they turn on the water and then pop up and start barking. It's very very funny but I'm not sure they enjoy it as much as I do. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season. Take care!!

Update

Lots of busy things happening now. I just got my shoulder surgery done and I'm recovering nicely from it. The dogs are having a rough life as always, never knowing where they will be sleeping from night to night. (Our bed, the couch or their own bed. Oh boy they're spoiled) Joey will start work in Rock Springs on the first, and I will be going there shortly thereafter, so I can finish school . We keeping our fingers crossed that our house will sell soon, And here are some more pictures of our spoiled dogs.
Pouting on Joey because they can't come over on Kimber.

A little Update

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!!! We just stayed home and passed out candy, there is actually people living in the subdivision this year (last year we we're the only ones living here and the rest of the house we're being built), so we enjoyed supplying treats. Joeys been working a TON, like always, he was gone this past week to Utah and came home on Halloween. And he gets to be home for my birthday!!! This is a first so I'm very excited! He's going to be transferring back up to Rock Springs soon and I will stay in Grand Junction until our house sells. We'll be able to see each other on the weekends and I can go see him a lot because I won't be to busy. We found out yesterday that I need surgery on my shoulder, so that will be done on the 13Th of November. That's about all that's new right now. I'll keep you guys updated on the move and everything else.

Family Photos

The other day we went and did family photos. I love the fall, many wonderful things in our family happen in the fall. So naturally I wanted fall photos and Joey is growing his hair out again so we wanted pics before it hit the major "fro" stage. We brought the dogs too and we could only get Sierra's attention. So here is the Burgers 08'.

My Little (Big) Helper!!!

When Joey is tired, he's tired and not much will wake him up. Well the other day (on his week off) he was taking a nap on the couch. Well I had a ton of laundry to fold and thought I would ask Joey for his help. He said "OK" and came in to our room and laid on the bed and fell back asleep, leaving me to fold the laundry, defeating my original plan. But he looked so cute sleeping I had to show everyone.

Although he's 6'3" he looks fairly small curled up sleeping.

Play Time

Joey and I found a cool dog park near our house, it's one of our favorite places to take the dogs. The other day we went there for an hour or so and soon found out that the water is getting cold fast, but that didn't stop Sierra from having fun. Kayla is still scared of the water a little after a couple of near drowning experiences.
She loves playing fetch.

One Year Already!!!!

Wow, one year came and went too fast. For those people who say the first year of marriage is the hardest, they're crazy. Ours was wonderful and we look forward to many many more. For our anniversary Joey surprised me by "kidnapping" me and going to Telluride, CO. He had rented a condo in the woods, it had it's own hottub (which was very nice cuz it was freezing cold up there) and a very pretty view. We took the gondola to the top of the mountains and wanted to go hiking, but sadly we were under dressed (don't forget it's still pretty nice in Grand Junction). So we opted for dinner and a nice romantic night together, I couldn't of asked for more. In the morning we took a drive over looking Telluride and took some very pretty pictures with our new camera that we got for our anniversary.

This is our condo where we stayed. We're standing on the little walking trial that lead to the gondola.

Telluride from the gondola. It's a very cool little town if you ever have the chance to visit.

On our way up the mountain.

This is a night shot from our condo. I though it was pretty sweet.

This is a pic over looking Telluride in the morning.

Our Summer

Seeing how this is our first blog, I decided to just give a run down of our summer. We we're very busy. Joey took about a month off of work so we could spend time together. It was wonderful, I really don't see my husband very much and it was the first time we had spent more then a week together, ever. Needless to say we did a lot of stuff and had a blast!!!

My dad came to visit and we went to Moab. It was FUN!!! Here is us on the river and below is us out Jeeping.

We also got a lot of mt. biking, hiking and camping in. Here's some more pics.

We look like a homeless family on the river.

DIRT BIKES!!!

This is our 14 miles bike ride through some wicked mountains, I thought we would die there, but all was great!!!

Finally, the best picture for last. Joey and the dogs all tuckered out up camping.
