Update.... About time :)
This winter has been pretty mild in Rock Springs, which means no snow but it's still too cold to do much outside. We've been working hard and playing when we get the chance. We went snowboarding once, had a blast but haven't found the time to do it again. Here's a couple of pics...
I just love him and what an amazing man he is..... so lucky :)
Riding the lift with our buddy Denny.
And the biggest thing happening in the Burger House hold is..... our NEW HOUSE. We were going to wait until April to start building but like I said its been a mild winter so we decided to start early. They broke ground in February and have been moving right along. We're set to close May 21st and can hardly wait. I'll keep posting pics as it gets finished.
All framed, sheet rock next week :)
Foundation... we were super bummed out because it looked so small during this stage but the further it comes along the bigger it is.
Our lot before we broke ground. It's almost an acre in town, a perfect compromise for both of us. I wanted to live close to the rec center and Joey wanted a larger lot... TaDa Happy Hubby and Wife :)
This is under our front porch. We didn't think we would need the space but once we saw how big it was we wanted it for storage. It was going to cost $1000 to cut a door so Joey and I did it ourselves. By "we" I mean I watched Joey do it and then gave him a massage that night ;) What an awesome and handy man I married.
The next two pics are of us putting speaker wires in Joey HUGE garage. When we were making our house plans I told joey he could do what he wanted in the garage... end result is a garage that's only 40 sq ft smaller then the main level of our house. He is one excited boy.
Well that's all for now. Hope everyone is doing great.... Happy Easter :)

The past year!!!
The beginning of the year was kind of the same old thing. I was working hard at my last semester of nursing school and Joey was just working hard (like always). I really have the best hubby ever; he works so hard for our family and is a wonderful provider. Because of everything he does, we really have more blessing then I can count. The picture above is him at work, I could never do what he does (I would freeze to death). I love you babe so so so much!!!
In May I graduated with my RN!!! I was spoiled rotten with gifts and a ton of family came up. It meant so much to us. Then I started working full-time at the hospital here in Rock Springs. This has been quite an adjustment for our little family, I haven’t worked more than 2 days a month for over 3 years, but we got through it and I love love love my job!!!!
I got a new hunting rifle for graduation from Joey. It was custom made for me and he engraved it with all sorts of special things. Best hubby ever!!! I love it and it’s SWEET to shoot :)
We also got a new truck around graduation time. It was time to get rid of Ol’ Red and this new one is SO much better anyway!!
We did some camping this summer. My dad came with us and we all had a blast. Got rained on but that’s part of camping. The dogs had a blast swimming and it was hard to keep them out of the water.
Tired pups after a weekend of camping…. So cute!!!
This is a picture of Joey and his target at 1500 yards. We made a shooting range this summer out in the middle of nowhere, so Joey could shoot his .50 cal. He’s getting pretty good and hitting stuff at almost a mile… pretty impressive!!
After I got my new rifle, Joey was thinking he might need one too. So his showed up around the end of August and he was a happy as a little boy on Christmas :)
I was the only one who drew an Antelope tag this year. So Joey took the day off one day and we went hunting. Antelope are everywhere around Rock Springs. Left the house at 0500, had one down by 0730 and on the way home by 0900. Easiest hunting ever, but fun none the less!!
We both took some time off for elk hunting this year and filled 2 of our 4 tags, but we have more meat then we know what to do with so I’m glad we didn’t fill out last 2 tags. Sorry there are no pictures of our elk. By the time we thought of pictures the elk were already field dressed and not picture appropriate.
Some other things that happened this year: Joey turned 26 and I turned 25….crazy to think we’ve been together since we were 20 and 19. We had our 4th wedding anniversary, and every year gets better and better, sure love being married!!! Our Great Dane Tanner made it to adulthood without me killing him….he chews on a lot of MY STUFF. Our pitters Kayla is just fat and lazy and the perfect dog…never chews on anything :) I think I covered most of it. Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Long time coming...
This semester is already half over and I'm counting down the days. I just miss having free time and reading for fun. So far school hasn't been bad and this is my favorite semester so far. Everyone says this is the hardest semester of nursing school but I find myself less stressed and enjoying it.
Joey has been working hard like always. He's such a amazing man. I often wonder how I got so lucky:) He had his 25th birthday back in September. I know that's not old or anything but I can't believe how fast time has went. We started dating when he was 20 and I was 19. We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary on the 13th of October. What a wonderful 3 years this has been and it just keeps getting better!!!
I never blogged once this summer, so a quick blurb about that... We had a blast this summer. Very busy and it went to fast. We went boating, camping, backpacking, mt. biking and did tons of dirt bike riding. Again my computer will not let me put photos on here. Sorry, I know pics are half the fun.
I will work hard on trying to blog more, but no promises :)

The start of summer
Lets recap from my last blog. Everyone here is doing wonderful. Joey is working hard like always (I'm so proud of my kick butt hubby) I finished up the semester in May and I took a week long spin off class and I now have my LPN. One more year and I'm a RN!!!!
Right around the end of school Joey's uncle passed away so we made a quick trip to Washington for his funeral. I was able to meet a lot of his family that I've never met and that was wonderful. On the way home Joey's truck started acting up. This was stressful because we recently sold our Charger and we're trying the one car thing seeing how I'm the only one who drives them anyway. Well by the time we made it home we had a broken truck and no vehicle to drive. So off to the shop it went and off to New Mexico I went to see my momma.
I had a blast in NM. The weather was so hot (I LOVED IT) and I got to spend so much time with my mom. I never realized how much I missed her until it came time to leave. Guess I just need to go visit more!!!!
When I got back to Wyoming it was time for Joey's week off and our truck was still broken so we decided to get another vehicle. We sat down and thought long and hard about what kind of car/truck we should get. We need something big because of our growing puppy (he's over 80 pounds and 6 months today)I really didn't want another truck because we have one and we don't do very good with cars seeing how we have never kept one over 4 months. An SUV was our only choice.....after much test driving and looking around we purchased a Hummer H2. It's large, can go off road, haul my pups around and fit passengers. I think it's pretty sweet and let's be honest it fits us. Pictures are coming.
That about sums this last month. I will post again soon. Until then have a great summer and hopefully you're getting better weather then we are!!!!

A little update!!!
I have about a week and a half left of the semester and can't wait for summer!!!! Joey has been moved to a 2 weeks on and 1 week off schedule. I know this might sound like an odd schedule to some people but we sure are glad for it, especially for summer. I only work a couple days a week in the summer to stay busy, so when Joey's week off comes around I don't work it and we get to have a mini vacation and play all week!!! It's the best.
The weather has been very bizarre lately and one moment it's OK and the next it's snowing. So hopefully it will get nice soon so we can start enjoying summer and riding our dirt bikes more!!!!! I will try to keep up on all the fun things we do.....

It's been FOREVER!!!!
Christmas Morning
Joey with one of his new guns. He was pretty excited.
Our living room of our GJ home after we had it all cleaned out.
The Kitchen. Good bye GJ house!!!!
January: School started back up and it was hard to go back after such a long break. With our house sold, we moved into a house that we're renting for a bit until we decided what we want to do. Once we moved into our own place, we decided that Kayla needed a playmate, so we added another dog to the family........Tanner the Great Dane. He is very cute and growing like a weed.
Joey and the dogs sleeping on the couch.
Our new puppy/monster
Sleeping in the sun.
February: Not a whole lot happened in Feb. I was busy with school and Joey was out of town for most of it. Joey's little bother got married and we're very excited to have April in the family. Valentine's day was nice, but Joey went out of town the next day so we had a relaxing night at home. I didn't take very many pics this month.
March: March has been much the same, other then Joey is HOME!!!!! I love having him home, he's been gone a lot over the last 6 months. This last weekend Joey had some days off and took me to Utah for Spring Break. When we got to Utah Joey asked if he could stop and see a friend who works at a bike shop. While waiting for his friend Joey suggested we walk around the store, I'm always up for looking at dirt bikes so I said OK. As we looked at dirt bikes I noticed one of then had the numbers 511 on it (this is my racing numbers and I was sad that someone else had them) as we walked closer I noticed BURGER above the numbers and I thought how odd someone has the same numbers and same name last name as I do. Being a little slow I realized Joey had set this whole thing up and surprised me with a new bike. I was SO EXCITED and had to try really hard to not cry. I have to coolest husband ever!!!! I've been wanting another dirt bike for awhile and talk about it all the time and what do ya know....he gets me one. I'm pretty lucky!! And then he surprised me again and points to the bike next to mine and says "Surprise!!!! I got one too!!" I sure love my husband!!!!!
My look of surprise as I'm slowly understanding whats going on.

My many many Blessings.
First off I'm thankful for Joey. I really have been blessed beyond words when it comes to my wonderful husband. He is an AMAZING man. I love how hard of a worker he is and how he doesn't settle for average. He brings out the best in me and always supports me. He makes me smile and laugh at least 10 times a day. He has the patience of a saint and is very laid back (unlike his wife, who probable could tune it down a bit). We have so much in common (including our goofy side) and I can never spend enough time with him. I'm so thankful for our life together.
Next is my family. I love my family. They taught me so many things in life and I know it played a huge part in the person I am today. They support me in every part of my life. As I have grown up my parents and my sister have become some of my closest and trusted friends. I appreciate all of the advice they give me. I know I can be difficult at time and I just want to say thank you guys for keeping me :)
I'm thankful for my married family. Not only did they give me Joey but they have given me a family I love. I have learned so so much from this family over the last three years. I love the friendships I have with Joey's parents and siblings. I love how wonderful my nieces and nephews are. It has been so fun to watch them grow and see them become individuals. I'm so grateful this wonderful family welcomed me with open arms and that I was able to become a member. I love being a Burger. :)
Next is my friends. ALL of my friends (family members, old friends and new ones). I have met some amazing people in my 23 years of living. There are times that I don't see/talk to my friends as often as I should but I know that they are still my very good friends and will always be. I have some pretty crazy/funny/happy/silly memories because of these friendships and I will always cherish them.
Kayla..... this single name sums up a lot of happiness in my life. I know it's odd to love a dog as much as I love her, but I don't care!!! She is a very good companion and is very helpful when I need her. She keeps me company when Joey is out of town. She keeps me warm at night when I don't have my heater to sleep with (Joey). Kayla keeps me in shape by insisting we go on frequent walks/runs. I never have to pick up things I drop while I'm cooking because she is an excellent garbage disposal. She lets me know when someone is at the door or even walking by the house. She sits on my feet when I'm doing homework and keeps them warm. She wakes me up at around 7 every morning (this will come in handy if my alarm doesn't go off) and she's just a pretty darn good dog.
I'm thankful for school. I know that nursing school is very stressful and I can't wait to be done. I often wish I could just jump two years ahead but I know I can't. I think Joey can't wait until it's done either. But I'm thankful that I'm able to be able to go. I thankful that I'm able to better my self and help other people.
Finally, I'm thankful for mine and Joey's health. I so glad that we are able to live the life we do. We are able to work and enjoy our selves. I know there are many people that don't have this and I will never take this blessing for granted. There are the little things I'm thankful for too. Like living where we do, being able to make everyday choices. Like I said before I have a wonderful/blessed/amazing life and all I can say is Thank You.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I hope this finds everyone in good health. I'll hopefully blog again soon.
